5/9 Arrived in Chicago at 3pm. You are allowed to park in downtown Chicago at the McCormick Place truck Marshaling parking lot. This is not a stellar location but it does give you easy access to the city. That evening we walked to Millennium Park. Got to see Soldiers Field and some of the Museums. We ate Chicago dogs from Devil Dawgs a local place for dinner in Grant Park. The hot dogs were not as good as we had heard but the setting was beautiful. By the time we walked back to our rig in was 10pm. The McCormick parking lot is parking for Soldiers Field would be a great place to come back to to tailgate. Late night for kids but good exercise for Mom, Dad and Franklin. 5/10- We set out for our touristy Chicago day. Morning was nice but wet weather made its way to us in the pm. Gotta say we are pretty sick of ☔️ . It's been an unusually wet and cold spring for many of the states we have visited so far. Any way we started with and ride on the L train to Lincoln Park for d...

5/7 We took a down morning at the campground since Finn was still battling the tail end of croup. Since we were only an hour from Chicago we decide to catch an evening game at Wrigley's Field. We bundled up and set out for our MLB adventure. The night could not have gone better. The Cubs offer free parking with a shuttle bus provided at a far off lot which we took advantage of. Finn like riding the school bus shuttle and asked lots of questions about why there were no seatbelts on the bus. We arrived at Wrigley Field just before the first pitch. It was a cold night so we were layered up but our seats were great. Fun game at an iconic stadium (a Dan's bucket list trip). Unfortunate we only made it through half of the game (7 innings) since the game took 18 innings!  After the game we headed back to the campground. Next day we stayed local did some laundry and antiquing in Chesterton IN. We had the best breakfast at the Northside Diner. I mean this breakfast ...

5/5- Drove into downtown Ann Arbor MI. It is another rainy day 😢 which is not much fun but luckily Ann Arbor has a great hands on museum for kids. We spent a couple of hours there and then hit a local place called Fritabatidos (Cuban street burgers) for a late lunch. Next off to Mooville a dairy farm we found through Harvest Host. After a brief detour (Zoë forgot our backpack at our lunch destination) we arrived at Mooville at 6pm. We were greeted warmly by our host Troy and given a tour of the creamery. We then did a self guided tour of the barn; ate a picnic dinner and of course got some Mooville ice cream for dessert. The ice cream was amazing. Finn got cotton candy flavor and it tasted just like the real thing. After another hard night with Finn being sick we woke up to cows playing right outside our window. This made us all smile and certainly was cool to watch cows frolicking . After taking a little time in the morning to let Finn and Ailish play in ...

Oh Canada

5/1 crossing the boarder (F and A's first trip outside the USA. Crossed @ 9:22 am).  🇨🇦  We are on our way to drop off our RV to Roadtrek in Kitchener ON to finally be fixed (hopefully)!   Stayed in Kitchener Ontario for three nights. We hung out at the hotel, swam, watched cable and ate a really good steak meal. We had the obligatory Tim Hortons and FaceTimed with friends and family.  We also disproved the theory that all Canadians are super nice (met some really grumpy ones in Kitchener). Our RV was at the Roadtrek Manufacturer being fixed during this time. They did right by us they fixed our major problems and even fixed the damage Dan did to the body of the van the first day we got it 😄. Roadtrek even covered our hotel stay we cannot say enough good things about them right now. The afternoon on 5/4 we hit the road again. Plan is back  to the States until we cross to Alaska .  Made it to Michigan the same evening where we slept...

Next day off to Otego NY to see a college friend and her family. Had nice meal and caught up with them and then we were off to Erieville NY to spend two nights with another college friend. Had a nice time chin wagging and relaxing with good company. Left the 27th to go to our college town. Drove around campus. Reminisced about all the changes and met up with another college friend while Finn played on another great playground. After sleeping at a rest stop we were hoping to get an oil change, fuel filter and NYS inspection completed in Brockport but unfortunately they could not do it. Therefore we were off to a dealership in Hemrietta NY. While work was being done we hung out at a nice town park. We made a trip to Nick Tahoes a Rochester Institution for a late lunch and then rounded out the day at another college friends for dinner. We had a blast with their family and hit the  road to Cleveland to see some of Dan's family.

Williamsburg

We headed out on Wednesday the 19th of April to a campground in Williamsburg VA. We met up with Dan's family in historic Williamsburg and went back to his families timeshare for pool time and dinner. Finn had a blast with cousins!  After leaving the campground on April 21st we spent time in Yorktown VA another great historic town that had some wonderful beaches on our way to spending the night at an Alpaca Farm. Finn and Dan had a nice tour with 50+ Alpacas. We enjoyed the scenery and watching the lightening storms in the distance. 4/22 on the road making our way to Otego NY stopped at a great Farmers market in Fredricksburgh VA. Was a rainy day so did a long drive went through VA, MD tried stopping at a park in MD for lunch. It was closed for what reason we don't know and was so cold and wet out we just stayed in the RV and ate and used our rear table for the first time. We continued on and stopped for dinner at a great playground in Newville PA. Then boond...
