Chicago

5/9 Arrived in Chicago at 3pm. You are allowed to park in downtown Chicago at the McCormick Place truck Marshaling parking lot. This is not a stellar location but it does give you easy access to the city. That evening we walked to Millennium Park. Got to see Soldiers Field and some of the Museums. We ate Chicago dogs from Devil Dawgs a local place for dinner in Grant Park. The hot dogs were not as good as we had heard but the setting was beautiful. By the time we walked back to our rig in was 10pm. The McCormick parking lot is parking for Soldiers Field would be a great place to come back to to tailgate. Late night for kids but good exercise for Mom, Dad and Franklin. 5/10- We set out for our touristy Chicago day. Morning was nice but wet weather made its way to us in the pm. Gotta say we are pretty sick of ☔️ . It's been an unusually wet and cold spring for many of the states we have visited so far. 5/7 We took a down morning at the campground since Finn was still battling the tail end of croup. Since we were only an hour from Chicago we decide to catch an evening game at Wrigley's Field. We bundled up and set out for our MLB adventure. The night could not have gone better. The Cubs offer free parking with a shuttle bus provided at a far off lot which we took advantage of. Finn like riding the school bus shuttle and asked lots of questions about why there were no seatbelts on the bus. We arrived at Wrigley Field just before the first pitch. It was a cold night so we were layered up but our seats were great. Fun game at an iconic stadium (a Dan's bucket list trip). Unfortunate we only made it through half of the game (7 innings) since the game took 18 innings!  After the game we headed back to the campground. Next day we stayed local did some laundry and antiquing in Chesterton IN. We had the best breakfast at the Northside Diner. I mean this breakfast ...
