rv dreaming...straight outta Brooklyn

Current location Dawson Creek BC- mike marker 0 for Alaskan highway!!! 5/29-Theodore Roosevelt National Park. North unit. We started the morning driving around the little town of Alexander ND. They had a lovely tribute for Memorial Day. We payed our respects and then made our way to the North Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This is a less visited National Park but we are so glad we came. The landscape was beautiful. We started by doing the scenic drive they have in the park and then we popped off to do some hiking. We saw lots of Buffalo and Prairie Dogs. On our hike to Prairie Dog village there was a grazing Buffalo within 100 yards of us.  Around 4pm we decided to camp there for the night and we are so glad we did. Nice campground. We scooted around and ate dinner and met Ranger Jeff who gave us numerous suggestions of where to visit on the road. ---Current location Grande Prarie Canada--- 5/25- Spent the day in Fargo just milling around and then made our way for a Harvest Host stay at the Red Trail Winery. We were lucky enough to get there on a day when they were hosting a dinner for a bunch of farmers. We joined them for dinner and had a great meal and wonderful conversations with the other guests. Our hosts were fantastic and the other guests made us feel right at home. What a nice way to kick off the great state of North Dakota. 5/26 off to Jamestown. We had high hopes for Jamestown but unfortunately it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. We stopped at a local mom and pop fast food joint called Polar king. A bit greasy and cluttered inside with all the hanging polar bears. We then headed to Frontier village to see the "old town" and the worlds largest buffalo.
